On the Caribbean coast, you’ll step into Colón, a city that pulses with the spirit of Panama’s Afro-Antillean heritage. From its lively rhythms and traditional Congo dances to markets filled with flavor and soul, Colón offers a raw and authentic look at Afro-Caribbean culture in its purest form.
PORTOBELO
Nestled on the turquoise shores of the Caribbean Sea, Portobelo is a town steeped in history and tradition. Once a bustling Spanish trade port, today it’s a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colonial fortresses and vibrant Afro-Panamanian culture. Refund & Cancellation Policy
We know plans can change, but here’s the deal:

Deposits: All deposits are non-refundable. Why? Because they go directly toward securing your room with our hotel partners, and once that’s locked in, it can’t be reversed.

Cancellations more than 30 days before the trip: 50% of the amount paid (minus the deposit) will be refunded.

Cancellations within 30 days of the trip: 100% penalty (minus the deposit). At that point, everything has already been reserved and paid for.
👉 Pro Tip: If you can’t make it, your spot is transferable. Send your bestie, cousin, or travel buddy in your place.

Absolutely! Many of our travelers come solo and leave with new friends (and maybe even a dance partner). We even have a single occupancy option if you want your own room.
Do I need to know Spanish?
Nope. While Spanish is the national language, your hosts and guides speak English. We’ll teach you a few key phrases along the way so you can impress the locals.
What’s the group vibe?
Think fun, respectful, and adventurous. This isn’t a “sit-on-the-bus” kind of tour — it’s a mix of culture, history, good food, and celebration. If you come with an open mind and good energy, you’ll fit right in.
Where do I fly into?
Book your flight into Panama City – Tocumen International Airport (PTY). Airport pickup and drop-off are included in your package.
What’s not included?
Flights, travel insurance, personal shopping, and any meals not listed in the itinerary. And bad vibes — those stay home.
Do I need travel insurance?
Yes, we strongly recommend it. Life happens, and insurance covers you for unexpected flight delays, cancellations, or medical emergencies.
How active is this trip?
It’s a mix! Some days are packed with tours, walking, and dancing. Other days are more relaxed, with beach time and free exploration. Bring comfy shoes, light clothing, and an adventurous spirit.
Are meals included?
Daily breakfast is included, along with select dinners and cultural dining experiences. We also leave time for you to explore local restaurants and street food on your own.
What if my flight is delayed?
No worries. Let us know your updated arrival time. Airport pickups are scheduled for the official start day, but if you arrive late, we’ll guide you on how to meet the group.
